More on Sotomayor

A case that Sonia Sotomayor ruled on that was challenged to the Supreme Court is due for a ruling soon.  The ruling involved affirmative action, and Sotomayor ruled that New Haven, CT, was allowed to toss the results of a test that produced no Black candidates for promotion within the city’s fire department.  You’re likely to hear (if you haven’t already) that she ruled against the po’ white folk who passed that test.

This is a pathetic lie.

The ruling was that the city was justified in tossing the results because they were not only concerned that the test was racially biased (owing to the fact that most Whites passed it with flying colors and 50% of Blacks did not), but they were also concerned with the validity of the entire test.  The city was covering its ass from getting sued because the test was biased, and it was also covering its ass from promoting people based on a bogus test.  Thus, Sotomayor ruled that they were in the clear.

So when people tell you that she ruled against white people in favor of black people because she’s a racist, you can just tell them that it doesn’t make any sense for her to do that because everyone knows that Hispanics hate Blacks.  And then point at them and laugh.

I haven’t heard as much squaking on this as I figured I would by this point. I remember when she ruled on this and how outraged the right was, I figured that by now people would be freaking out a lot more. Instead they keep bitching about empathy. Idiots.
