WorldNetDaily: Crazier than crazy.

Posted: 29 July 2010 in civil rights, human rights, obamanation, republicans, terrorism

If you’ve never visited World Net Daily’s website, there’s a chance you still have your sanity intact.  Much like a nameless Lovecraftian horror, its only visitors are those in service to its foul other-worldly machinations, and those who go looking in places they really shouldn’t and have their tenuous grasp on reality violently stolen from them.

Needless to say, I am among the latter, not the former.

As to save you from a trip there, allow me to explain the mind-crushing terror that is World Nut Daily.  It’s apparently some sort of clearinghouse for news with the context altered to fit some sort of neo-conservative, fringe libertarian, Christian separatist wet dream.  I’m talking one step removed from Hutaree-style “let’s start a fucking holy war and kill all these motherfuckers” wet dream.

Suffice it to say,  a full two years after Barack Obama became the Democratic nominee for President, WND still runs articles discussing the eligibility of this obvious Kenyan Muslim foreigner to hold the office of President.  But it’s not just that they feel they’ve been denied the greater glory of President Biden, it’s that they are fucking scared.

Scared in the same way that Southern plantation owners were scare that freed slaves were coming to rape all the white women, except there’s a bit of a… twist.  You see, they’re scare that Obama is going to use Bush’s own policies against them.  These people who pushed and pushed and demanded and cheered on the expansion of our war state, of executive power, of unrestricted spying on citizens, on the erosion of civil rights – they’re suddenly horrified that Obama is going to listen in on your conversations so he knows where to aim the Predator drones.

Commentator Robert Ringer (dubbing himself “a voice of sanity”) announces

[Lindsay Graham R-SC] seems intent on being the last best hope for an Obama-directed police state.

He then goes on to explain that his fellow Tea-partiers are actually anarchists. No, seriously:

Tea-party people have no vision for governing because they don’t want to be governed.

Well duh.

Nate Hentoff is fairly certain that Obama is using Predator drones to watch us all:

Failing our responsibility as citizens, we have become almost entirely complicit in the extent and depth of our being continually surveilled at home outside the Constitution.

Will drones continue to hover outside the Constitution? Barack Obama knows.

Of course, we heard nary a peep of horror from WND when Bush’s covert spying program was revealed – except that it was revealed and some dirty liberal had sold out our security to Al-Qaeda.

“Politically Direct” Jane Chastain wants to warn you that Obama’s nominee for the Director of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Dr. David Berwick, is out to drain your precious fluids:

Obama has his way, this man will directly control the health care of a third of this nation’s citizens and indirectly control the health care of our entire population.

Oh, I feel so much better now that this rationing thing will be “transparent.”

“Yes, Marie Antoinette, you are, in fact, going to the guillotine, not the hairdresser.” That would have made the end result a lot more bearable!

Yes, access to affordable health care is exactly the same as having one’s head cut off.  Look at it this way, you’ll probably be less sick!  Also, Tylenol is like doing 10-25 in San Quentin.

Absolutely defining the crazy, Craige McMillan offers up this nugget, presented in its entirety:

I  think I’ve finally figured out who Obama really is. Not his identity and citizenship, which – unlike any other president in history – remains a mystery. No, I mean who he is. Here’s a very brief biography:

“Smeagol’s original name was Trahald, the Anglicized equivalent of which is Smeagol. … In the day of his … coming of age, he went fishing with his cousin Deagol. While fishing, Deagol saw something glittering under the surface of the water, dove in after it, and came up with a glittering gold ring. Before even knowing the qualities of the beautiful ring, Smeagol’s desire to own it overtook him. … He soon developed many undesirable qualities, like stealing, eavesdropping, and being sneaky whenever he had the opportunity. …” (

Smeagol, of course, is Gollum, the pathetic creature in “The Lord of the Rings” who lived underground with the one ring that held the power over all the others. The ring consumed him, and in the end destroyed him. (Even if you disagree with this analogy, you must admit to the physical similarities between Gollum and Obama, no?)

The tidal wave of media dishonesty and hatred that saturated the political landscape during the Bush years primed so-called independents and first-time voters to vote for anyone else, which they did, in lemming-like droves.

That one act of catharsis has now cost the typical family of four about a million dollars in debt that their children will live with – and repay – rather than improving their standard of living, which has historically been the case in America.

The cost to freedom, which the Constitution enshrined as individual liberty (i.e., freedom from the state) is incalculable. The power of the king, which our forefathers banished during the revolutionary war, has been very much restored. He now rules with his hereditary dukes and earls, who share the spoils of the nation with him. The only choice this power-obsessed left has ever cared about – abortion – will soon be the only medical choice available to American surfs.

Unless, of course, you are the privileged, East-Coast elite. From that viewpoint, a nation of surfs kept under their ring finger must look pretty good.

No, that doesn’t make any sense.  Yes, it made Tolkien rise up from his grave in anger and instantly die again of sadness.  Yes, McMillan spelled “serfs” wrong.

Alan Keyes, who has been exemplifying crazy for decades, lays it out concisely:

Throughout his political career, Obama has consistently declared his view that the Constitution’s purposeful restraint of government power is obsolete. Since the outset of his occupation of the White House, he and his faction have signaled their intent to circumvent, undermine or simply set aside the authority of the U.S. Constitution.

Obama:  he’s comin’ to getcha!

Henry Lamb took a boilerplate column from 2004 and did a Find and Replace on “Bush,” inserting “Obama”

Obama believes in the rule of law – his law. No other law is relevant. No other law matters. When Obama speaks, he expects the world to obey.

Virtually everything Obama has done since taking office has expanded both the size and power of the federal government.

Obama’s declaration that America must end its addiction to oil misses the point entirely.

What’s most dangerous about this man is his restructuring the government to be operated by a collection of appointed czars, who are not accountable to Congress, who can exercise powers not granted to the government to achieve nearly dictatorial authority over the citizens of the United States.

Seriously, if you didn’t see those exact same statements applied to Bush, you were living without access to media for the last eight years.

Even Chuck Norris can’t help but get in on the insanity:

And it’s the gravest nightmare of U.S. citizens and abandonment of our Constitution to date: A presidential assassination program in which U.S. citizens are in the literal scopes of the executive branch, based upon nothing more than allegations of terrorism involvement as they define it.

Of course, the CIA has executed covert assassinations of foreigners for decades. But, tragically, Obama is now expanding this program to include American, non-Islamic, stateside, homegrown terrorists.

Shit, if Chuck Norris is afraid of Obama, maybe we’ve got some serious problems.  Bill Clinton wasn’t this scary.  John Kerry?  Pussy compared to this.  What’s the secret?  What’s makes him so terrifying… oh, right, SCARY NEGRO MUSLIM!  WorldNetDaily, we’ve traced the calls!  THEY’RE COMING FROM INSIDE YOUR MIND!
